Renowned heart specialist Dr. Viren Goenka, his wife Sanjana and their 7 year old daughter Anishka are a happy family in Mumbai. Their joys have just multiplied with Viren being honored with a prestigious award for his contribution to the medical world.

Viren is all set to visit New Delhi to receive this award in a grand function. He promises his daughter to take her for a fabulous family vacation once he returns. But fate had something else planned for Viren and his family.

Destiny strikes hard against them and Anishka is kidnapped under Sanjana's nose. She is startled with the presence of a creepy man named Krish in her house. Krish tells her that Anishka will be fine as long as Sanjana and Dr. Goenka follow his instructions.

While Krish keeps Sanjana in the house, his partner Roohi keeps Viren confined in his hotel room and their third associate Kabir holds Anishka at a remote location. The kidnappers keep strict half-hour checks with each other by cell phones, and if all goes as planned, the whole act would take only 24 hours. The kidnappers set the ransom to a whopping amount of Rs.3 Crore.

It doesn't take much for Viren and Sanjana to realize that abiding by the kidnappers' rules is the best thing that they could do to save their daughter's life. Viren mortgages everything possible, including his dream hospital project and his house and somehow manages to collect Rs.3 Crore in just 24 hours, an act next to impossible being trapped at one place.

But it seems that testing time had just begun for the already suffering family. Something highly unfortunate strikes and the kidnappers flee without any sign of their daughter and take away the ransom money as well. Both Sanjana and Viren are uncertain about what could have happened and fear for the life of their only beloved daughter Anishka.

Viren wants his daughter back at any cost and thus he tries to exploit all his resources. Entire police force is on move to search for any clues of the kidnappers or Anishka but they can't discover anything significant.

As clock ticks away, a series of incidents take place and the turmoil almost changes each life. What happens next is the harsh reality that crosses a thin line between life... and death....

A courtesan and a poetess in her own right, Umrao Jaan was a name to be reckoned with in any description of life in Avadh. If Lucknow was the heart of Avadh, Umrao was the heart beat.

Khanum gave her the name 'Umrao', Bua Hussaini brought her up in style, Maulvi Sahib imparted education, Khan Sahib initiated her into the world of music while the great Kathak Acharya made her feet move to rhythm. In the company of Bismillah, Khurshid and Gauhar Mirza, Umrao developed varied skills including poetry. The pen name “Ada” was ample proof of the proficiency in writing and presenting poetry that she went on to acquire.

Graduating in years, Umrao became a rage in Lucknow. A beauty that was stunning, a manner that was enticing and words that were soul stirring, made the name of Umrao Jaan mean sheer joy of watching and listening.

Stepping into youth, she had to seek the love of her life. His name was Nawab Sultan. With the whole of Avadh at her feet, Umrao craved for Sultan's company. Gafla is a story about ordinary people or rather an ordinary young man, Subodh, in ordinary circumstances. Subodh starts out like any middle class guy, with limited opportunities to survive and go ahead. Perhaps, he has a little bit more drive than the others, more energy and bigger dreams.

Subodh's intentions are good and understandable in terms of ordinary ambitions. Subodh wants to make money, to be successful and enters the stock market. His brilliance makes him successful, but he is at the mercy of big players.

Faced with a choice of either following a secondary career, dominated by big players or becoming a big player himself, he opts for the latter. But, as an outsider, he shouldn't have become the biggest player of all. He didn't know where to stop. He didn't pause to strengthen the base of political and institutional support before rising further. He is inexperienced. So, when things go wrong, Subodh is crucified for doing the same fraud that everybody was doing.

Saahil runs a travel agency with a friend Patel in UK. which undertakes traveling and sight seeing in and around UK. But, he is on the verge of shutting it down because of non payment of loans taken while starting this agency. He sometimes cons his customers and clients to make some extra money. Reason is this, that his mother, who is the only family he has in this foreign land since he was 12 years old, is suffering from multiple renal disorders and is on the verge of dying in hospital.

As life goes on in the midst of trying to arrange for sums to save his mother’s life, enters Neha, who is on a holiday tour with her family. They book Saahil’s travel agency to guide them in U.K. for sight seeing. Neha is full of life, simple, charming and very caring. Saahil takes them on trips around London and both Neha and Saahil have a knack of finding themselves in unusual situations. Saahil tries to con their family too on an occasion, but being caught red-handed by Neha sparks off a friendship between them.

When Neha and her family are about to leave to tour Scotland, she misses the train. She is all alone left with Saahil in London. But characteristic of hers– she asks Saahil to take her to Scotland by road. Saahil refuses, but has to give in to it and takes her in the car. During this journey Neha develops proximity for Saahil and senses that she is in love with him.

On reaching Scotland, Saahil comes to know that his mother’s condition has become critical and there are few chances that she may survive now. He is left like a sole loner all alone in this cold country. He tries to do everything right from gambling for quick money with the last chunk of money left to selling himself literally. He is unable to see any way out of this situation, except one option…and indecent option…

He was once asked by a stranger to sell girls to him and will be paid heavily for it, but he strongly resented it, but life now brings him to a situation where it is the only option. In a spate of madness, Saahil makes a deal of handing over Neha to the stranger for money required to save his mother. The stranger works for Kunaal Malik.

Kunaal Malik owns “Erotica” the biggest whore house and sex centre in UK. Kunaal is the big brains behind all kinds of illegal business right from drugs, mafia, contract killing etc. He is a cold hearted, ruthless man who has no mercy for anybody. When Neha retaliates to Kunaal’s objective of making her a part of this business, he cannot but help to be influenced by her innocence as no one has ever said no to him till date. He begins to live life and discover love that Neha evokes in him. Meanwhile, Saahil returns to London with money and saves his mother, but he also realizes that he is not able to erase Neha from his memory and is in love with her. For centuries men have been in quest of the secrets of our past. Hidden treasures, fables, myths, all have driven generations to dedicate their life in such pursuits. Naksha starts with the search of one such man, an archeologist named Professor Kapil Acharya who prefers to die with the ancient map, rather than let it fall into the hands of evil! Siddharth Sardesai, a young scientist from Indian Medical Research center wants to create another human being, not in a mother's womb but in a science lab. If he is successful it could be a boon for humanity else it could be a doom for mankind. Siddharth has been experimenting with cloning for the past 2 years and has been unsuccessful. He even lost his colleague and friend in the process. But today he is confident of succeeding. He needs permission from the Indian Medical Research Centre and his Guru Dr. Krishnan There are few people who don't approve of his experiment. Amongst them is Inspector Rathod. So Siddharth is shattered when Dr. Krishnan informs him that the permission to go ahead is not granted. Siddharth is shattered and his love, Aditi comforts him. She also suggests him that she would speak to her father Mr. Chopra who is a big industrialist and could finance him for his project to help him go ahead with his dream of creating a human clone.

After much thought and hesitation Siddharth agrees to take Aditi's help. He builds his own lab in an old burnt mill and starts with his experiment. He first clones a mouse. In the meanwhile Inspector Rathod gets suspicious about the sudden disappearance of Siddharth and starts to trace him. He meets people who are close to Siddharth but no one knows where Siddharth is.

Time is running out as Inspector Rathod closes on to Siddharth's heels and ultimately Siddharth has to take a plunge and he begins to clone himself. He succeeds but his clone goes missing and all hell breaks loose when suddenly Siddharth is put behind bars for assaulting a girl at a Night Club. Siddharth realizes that it is his clone who is doing all this. But he is helpless, as no one believes him that he has cloned himself, not even Dr. Krishnan. Clone has other ideas. He wants to take over Siddharth's life and starts playing games. He flirts with Dr. Krishnan's daughter Suchitra and even impregnates her. For Siddharth's project report, the clone kills Dr. Krishnan and the blame comes on Siddharth.

Inspector Rathod gets furious and promises Siddharth that he will not let him go out alive from jail. Siddharth is in a major dilemma to prove his innocence of the crime that his clone has committed. But was Siddharth justified to go ahead and press the button to create the first human clone? Siddharth has to fight his own battle all-alone with his own creation, and the law is not on his side.

Isha, a young and bubbly girl born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Rich, carefree and ever so careless, she considered every moment of life as the one designed for fun, laughter and making merry. So much was one such moment important to her that even kidnapping held no seriousness in her life. For her even this was designed for fun! With her doors open, she was kidnapped by 4 young and not-so-young men who were amateurish in their attempt and even further amateurish when trying to deal with the events that unfolded.

Ajay is a simple man with not-so-simple plan, In spite of his humble job as a waiter in cafe, his aim in life was to own it one day. Well, his plans came to standstill as not just his dreams of owning the cafe were shattered, he even failed to hold on to his job as a waiter. And now he was out on the streets.

Raghu, ever-so-flirtatious and not-so-debonair driver who had the dreams of the same scale as Ajay. Just like Ajay, he too played a long shot in the air.

Third kidnapper in this gang is Goga. Goga is a straight man with straight dreams, unlike Ajay and Raghu. He is content being a 'paanwaala' but that too wasn't destined for him as his shop came crashing down one day with municipality taking over the land where he had his shop set. He had a little dream now - to own a sweet shop. To top it all, he placed himself in gang as the wisest of all.

Where did this leave Abbas then? A man with a flair for breaking laws, he had nowhere to go after Bollywood suffered from a bad run. Abbas and Bollywood? What was the connection? Well, he was a black marketer who was jobless now since the time movies started flopping left, right and center!

Together Ajay, Raghu, Goga and Abbas thought that in order to achieve their small and big dreams they had to take the route of crime. And the first and easiest step in this direction was to kidnap someone for ransom. It was only later did they realize that this was going to be their toughest assignment ever! They easily succeeded in kidnapping Isha but what followed from thereon was unprecedented to say the least. First and foremost they had to rush from the scene of crime and enter some other person's place due to things going awry.

To make matters worse, they realize that Isha's father was no more in the country and it would take him some time to actually come back and handover the ransom. With no other choice than to take refuge in this house belonging to a "vegetarian family" headed by Shah, the 4 kidnappers found themselves fighting one battle after another! From now what they encountered was the trouble of these very own people in whose house they had taken shelter. While Shah was all smiling and humorous, his main problem lied with money. Why? Because once upon a time he was rich and now he wanted his money back. Staying with his wife, mother-in-law and his children, he had number of interesting stories of his own to tell. While his mother-in-law didn't have a single word of appreciation for Shah, his wife still tried to keep the 2 in an orderly state and also take care of the household chores.

2 kids Ponkey and Sheeba too were ‘sone-pe-suhaga’ in this family because while the former thought that he was an expert when it came to lip-reading, Sheeba had all her time spent in beautifying herself and making herself look million bucks! Well, this crazy family was not just that the 4 kidnappers had to be content with. While Isha was enjoying herself with the state she was in, the 4 kidnappers had to deal with dozens of uninvited guests that barged into this house one after another.

There was horde of such visitors who ranged from being good, bad to ugly. One such good visitor was a pretty female Julie who knocked on the door to sell a product. Well, she was a saleswoman after all! Though there was no choice for the kidnappers but do hold her hostage as well, soon love bloomed between Julie and one of them.

Aravind, who came with his financer father Sharat Shetty to get their money back from Shah but instead ended up falling to the charms of Sheeba!

There was another couple that made an entry into the proceedings- Chameli and Ganapath! While Chameli worked in the Shah house as a maid, her dream was to see Ganapath rise from the position of a constable to a police inspector. Her dream was alright but she wasn't aware that in spite of a police tag, in actual life her husband was a weak soul who could hardly face a challenging situation.

Apart from the visitors, there were 2 more interesting characters that had an underworld connection. While Mushtaq Bhai was indeed a gangster who dealt with extortions and kidnapping, there was a young pizza delivery boy too ringing a bell who dreamt of making it big one day in the world of underworld...

Strings is an exquisite travelogue love story. Warren Hastings, a British youth who has been persuaded to experience the Mahakumbh at the behest of his email friend, Maya, a cosmopolitan and Indian urban girl. Warren has another mission though. Warren is plagued by a sort of unfulfilled quest, for an understanding of the mysticism of India, beyond his realms of imagination. This has been nurtured within him by the writings of his grandfather in a personal diary written during his posting in India. Warren is a sensitive person and hence has set upon a journey to unravel the secrets. His quest is provoked by the reasoning of his grandfather as written in the personal diary.

Warren then meets Krishna, the only child of a temple priest Pandit Dinanath. Pandit Dinanath a widower has brought up Krishna since the loss of his wife at child birth. Krishna is filled with a sort of guilt and remorse because of her mother’s death for which she unconsciously blames herself. Pandit Dinanath by his teaching and logic has freed Krishna from her guilt. Krishna has grown up with an essence of Indian culture and its values, holding firm opinion and respect for her culture and religious traditions.
Krishna is a blend of having imbibed the richness of Indian culture while fitting in with contemporary life and thinking. Warren and Krishna meet in the backdrop of chaos and conflicts. Their diversity soon brings them close to each other, and is soon privy to the orchestrations of love. For her to accept the feelings she has for Warren and gives in to a forbidden love, is difficult. She does so define the tenets of her upbringing. Their life is blissful and stands tall to the power of togetherness until one day Krishna sheds her inhibitions and succumbs to her feelings. It is the tale of a girl who stands tall to the virtue of love and who is ready to shed her ethos even to the extent of defying her father, who has sacrificed his whole life for her happiness. The most hurtful aspect is the need to question her father, who has been her single minded support in life. An intriguing thought definitely is from where Krishna gathers this inner strength.

Jeetu is a small town hustler who is constantly in debt and dodging creditors and moneylenders. His father Jayved Prasad, a respectable retired school teacher and his fiancée Pooja are made to suffer the consequences of his instability and his debts.

Everyone including Pooja's father Mohan tells Jeetu, that it would be better if he were to kill himself as he keeps getting his family into trouble. He doesn't feel that he is worthy of Pooja and encourages her to marry someone else, which she doesn't agree to. Jeetu then jumps into the sea trying to drown himself so that his family gets to claim his life insurance and pay off some of his debts.

Jeetu is found entangled in fishing nets by a pair of fishermen Bandya and Gundya who take him home with them. One of the fishermen, Gundya, owes money to Prabhat Singh Chauhan, a Gujrati businessman. On discovering Jeetu caught like a mermaid in their nets, they read a note in Jeetus pocket that leads them to assume that he is a millionaire and they hatch a scheme to give Jeetu's services to Prabhat Singh Chauhan in exchange for the money that they owe.

Jeetu, sensing he may reveal too much, plays safe and pretends to be a deaf-mute and plays along with them. Complications ensue when Chauhan's niece Shruti also turns out to be a mute but not deaf. Her over protective elder brother, Mangal Singh Chauhan, is trying to get her married but the engagement is called off, leaving her in disgrace.

Jeetu's secret is revealed one night when Shruti and her cousin Meenakshi discover him drunk and singing. They agree to keep his secret in return he agrees to play a part in getting a greedy bridegroom to cancel his marriage to Shruti. For this he has to pretend to be Shruti's lover. Meenakshi comes to realize that Jeetu owes people a lot of money. Jeetu appears to her as a person who could do anything for money.

In the interim, Meenakshi's uncle Prabhat Singh Chauhan is involved in an accident while carrying a lot of cash and Jeetu was with him all the while. Meenakshi tells the police of her suspicions about Jeetu and the police beat him up. Later Prabhat Singh comes home saying that it was Jeetu who had actually save his life by taking him to the hospital at the right time. The girls change their opinion of Jeetu after seeing this behavior and Shruti confesses her love for him. Mangal Singh Chauhan, Shruti's brother comes to know of the romance. In fear of Shruti's honor, he forces Jeetu to consent to marrying her.

Meanwhile, Bandya has returned from Jeetu's village, after visiting his uncle there and giving him the suitcase full of money arranged by Meenakshi and Shruti. Bandya asks after Pooja and is told that she is at her husband's house. Jeetu is told this news and concedes to the marriage with Shruti. But life again takes an unexpected turn for Jeetu..

Phir Hera Pheri is the sequel of comedy hit 'Hera Pheri'. Choices to choose between right or wrong is simple, but what defines one’s life is the decision between the greater of two goods or the lesser of two evils. Raj, struggling actor, and Priya, girl who was ditched by her boyfriend just before her wedding, are strangers to each other, until fate brings them together with a promise for them to make money. Among the other suspects are Sonia and Vicky, a married couple. There is also a high society playboy Rocky who was spotted near bungalow on the night of murder.

Pyare is blind, while Mohan is deaf. Duo were stuntmen in a film company initially, but after having met with an accident on the sets of a film, Pyare loses his vision, while Mohan goes deaf. Pyare and Mohan start dreaming of a future with Preeti and Priya. But the sisters, while leaving for Bangkok for a concert, clear the misconception. They tell Pyare and Mohan in clear words that their being physically impaired goes against them. Also, they add, they've always considered them to be mere friends, nothing more. En route to Bangkok, the aircraft faces turbulent weather. One of the passengers, Tony, feels that the aircraft is about to crash and makes a confession to a priest, who is seated right next to Preeti and Priya. Tony confesses that he's actually the underworld don who had deliberately spread the news of his death so that he could escape to another country. A few seconds later, the weather turns

normal and the guilt-stricken. Tony now wants to eliminate the priest since he knows the truth. He murders the priest at Bangkok airport itself, but the blame falls on Preeti and Priya. They are charged with murder and imprisoned in a Bangkok prison. When Pyare and Mohan learn of Preeti and Priya's imprisonment, they board the next available flight to Bangkok to rescue them. Aditya, an automobile engineer in a car company, is passionate about cars. Not only is he an engineer, but also a test driver for the company. A post like that can explain how well he could drive. Being Cyrus centers around the lives of a Parsi family, the Sethnas. The story brings out the dark sides of some seemingly ordinary characters, who eventually go to unbelievable lengths to achieve their goals. Cyrus shows up at the Sethna's at their Panchgani bungalow, and offers to be an assistant to pot maker Dinshaw. He spends a year with them and in the process a romance seemingly brews between him and Katy, Dinshaw's wife. Other clandestine activities coincide with this; Cyrus receives some money for an undisclosed reason, and he is shown working on something in a lab setting. He then arrives at Dinshaw's brother, Faroq's house in a very Parsi locality in Mumbai. Faroq takes care of their father who lives in a room in their Mumbai apartment, and doesn't treat him too well. Cyrus befriends the father but Faroq loathes his proximity. Katy on the other hand, gets frequent calls from Mumbai, in a parallel unexpected development. Tina, Faroq's wife, befriends a policeman Lovely. In what follows, the plot slowly unfurls, revealing morbid and unanticipated sides of many personalities.

Malamaal Weekly is about the struggles and survival of people in a small town. Lilaram earns a meager source of income through his business of selling Malamaal Weekly Lottery Tickets. One day, while watching TV, he learns that one of the tickets he had sold has in fact won One Crore Rupees Bumper Prize. As most of the other villagers don't own TV and are illiterate, Lilaram knows that he is privy to this information. The question is how to find that one ticket from the 105 he's sold. An idea hits him! Lilaram throws a party, a virtual festivity for the people who are fighting to survive. Lilaram, already debt-ridden, manages to host this party at expense of his one last asset- his goat kid! Now, the party is only for his 105 customers on condition that they bring along their tickets as an invite to celebrations. As luck would have it, all turn up except Anthony, the drunkard. Lilaram decides to pay him a visit. On reaching his house, he finds Anthony dead in front of TV. Too shocked on hearing about his victory but lottery ticket is still in his hand....

The twist in the tale is of course the fact that more than just telling the world, Sue's film makes DJ and his friends stop and stare at themselves for being the actual descendants of these great men and never recognizing and celebrating their courage and spirit. The film thus doubles as a narrative on the changes in perspective and values the young boys and girls acting in her documentary go through as they shoot for the film. Few scenes from the past and present are juxtaposed against each other, which renders a unique slick treatment, which serves to showcase the slow change in mindset and attitude that overcomes the group through the process of film.

Vikram Bhatt has again teamed up with the macho duo of Akshay Kumar-Suniel Shetty who have given numerous hits in past including Hera Pheri. Movie has been lavishly shot in US and Dubai and also has a dog and parrot playing important roles along with popular starcast.

Deewane Huye Paagal begins as a sweet romance between a cute boy-next-door Karan (Shahid Kapoor) and the ravishing Tanya (Rimii Sen). The latter is the cynosure of two evil eyes because she is in the know of certain secret information. When Karan's friend coaxes him to track Tanya after she migrates to Dubai, he enlists the aid of a deceptively handsome investigator, Rocky (Akshay Kumar) to chase her down. But Rocky ends up falling in love with her at first sight. Meanwhile, Tanya's physically disabled friend, Sanju (Suniel Shetty) also has a soft corner for her and tries thwarting Rocky's attempts at getting close to Tanya.

Plot thickens when yet another unexpected party falls in love with Tanya, thus setting up a hilarious love pentagon with a gaggle of con men and a lovelorn flame-wannabe following her around like panting puppies. The funny climax, shot against the picturesque sand dunes of Dubai, is a mix of madness and mayhem!

Pritish Nandy Communications's Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina marks the directorial debut of writer Suparn Verma who has penned the scripts to movies like Qayamat, Zameen and Karam. He also had written the earlier Feroz-Fardeen combo flick- Janasheen.
Pritam of Dhoom fame who currently is also reigning high on the musical success of Chocolate has composed the music of this film and the theme piece in background sounds exciting. What's interesting is that while Koena Mitra shifts from item numbers to a full-fledged role in the film, the movie still is stuffed with item numbers by Rakhi Sawant, Mumait Khan and Zubein Khan. Feroz Khan appears last in intense kohl-lined eyes.

Casting:
Film is set on the background of Jim Corbett National Park in Uttaranchal. A wildlife researcher Krish Thapar (John Abraham) and his photographer wife Riya (Esha Deol) venture into the Jim Corbett National Park to work on a project. Also a group of tourists (including Vivek Oberoi and Lara Dutta) land in the national park for some adventure. But on one creepy afternoon strange things begin to happen in the park and members of the group start disappearing. It seems that there is some supernatural force behind the events that is partly beast and partly ghost.

It’s then that a head of a village close to the park Kali Pratap Singh (Ajay Devgan) comes to the scene. The two couples decide to support each other in the wild and also to stick together with the local village head who has more knowledge of the surroundings and the situation. Together they have to fight the unseen force. Shah Rukh Khan will appear in just a song.

Kaal marks the transition of Dharma Productions from their regular feel-good factor films to attempting a full-fledged thriller. Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is the co-producing banner. Songs of film won't be a part of the movie and will be just used in the promotional videos of the film.
